***What is one project you’re excited about that you are working on in the lab right now?***

I am excited about our work examining how growth mindsets mediate the relation between early-life adversity and academic achievement and anxiety. I find this particularly exciting because this suggests that one way we can counteract some of the negative outcomes of early-life adversity could be through implementing available mindset interventions.

***What is something that you enjoy doing outside of work?***

I love trail running--going out for hours on a run in nature makes me feel alive and super rejuvenated (and it compensates for all the cookie dough I like to consume :).

***What do you want to be when you “grow up”?***

A much better cook than I am now (thank goodness I have a spouse who feeds me!)

***What is something that you are personally working on improving (about yourself, about the world, about your community etc)?***

I am working on living more mindfully. Learning to respond instead of react, to be less impatient, and more accepting of myself, of others, and of whatever life circumstances I find myself in.

***Do you have any hidden talents? If so, what?***

I enjoy playing the piano and singing. I sang in an a cappella group and choir in college and look back on it fondly. I also miss playing the piano and would love to own my own piano someday (when I don't live on a second-floor apartment with narrow stairs ;).
