***What is one project you’re excited about that you are working on in the lab right now?***

Im really excited about the STAR Study. I love the participants and I enjoy working with them and learning how to be a good researcher every single day.

***What is something that you enjoy doing outside of work?***

I love a good book ( currently reading The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett)

***What brought you to work here?***

The lab members - the lab has so many warm and great people in it. I felt like out of all the places I could work, this lab was the place I could be my most authentic self.

***What do you want to be when you “grow up”?***

I want to known for my work and research in mental health focused on Sub-Saharan African communities.

***What is something that you are personally working on improving (about yourself, about the world, about your community etc)?***

I'm really working on practicing gratitude more diligently. Focusing on what I have and what is around me and being grateful of that. And when I don't have something, being grateful for the lessons that come from hardship/discomfort.

***What is something you have accomplished and are proud of outside of work?***

Getting into graduate school !

***Do you have any hidden talents? If so, what?***

Absolutely none but I'm really good at braiding hair!

***Give us a snapshot of a moment of joy in your life.***

Waking up at 5 am on a crisp Spring morning with the birds chirping and it kind of feels like I'm the only person in the world because everything is so so quiet.

***What has made you the proudest in your time in the lab?***

I was the most proud when the lab invited Novalia Collective to come and work with the lab. I was particularly proud of the labs engagement and commitment to social justice. I felt heard, seen, and loved.

***If you could be anything (outside from your current field) what would it be?***

I wouldn't mind being a teacher.

***What’s important to know about you?***

My religion is very important to me.
