# Natalie Colich ### **Natalie Colich,** *Postdoc* ***What brought you to work here?*** Kate! She is an awesome scientist, mentor & person - I feel so lucky to work with her. ***What do you want to be when you “grow up”?*** A professor :) ***What is one project you’re excited about that you are working on in the lab right now?*** I am excited to apply brainAGE analyses to our datasets in order to add another metric of biological aging to our arsenal. I find it fascinating how different dimensions of adversity differentially impact different metrics of biological aging. ***Do you have any hidden talents? If so, what?*** I have an uncanny ability to memorize song lyrics. ***What is something that you are personally working on improving (about yourself, about the world, about your community etc)?*** This may sound minor relative to the larger problems of the world, but I am working on being a more patient person. 2020 has thrown a LOT at all of us, and the days have been LONG. Reminding myself to be more patient with my family helps me be a better version of myself. ***What has made you the proudest in your time in the lab?*** I am proud to be associated with the lab in general and all the stellar work that comes out of it! Of my own accomplishments, I am most proud of our meta-analysis that took 3+ years to complete and ended up in Psych Bull - Kate and Maya provided endless encouragement along the way and they were totally right - it was well worth the wait! ***What is something you have accomplished and are proud of outside of work?*** My 2 daughters are by far my proudest accomplishments. ***Give us a snapshot of a moment of joy in your life.*** Every morning my 8 week old wakes up, looks at me, and gives me the BIGGEST smile. It is absolutely the best part of my day. ***What is something that you enjoy doing outside of work?*** I love running & have a new found love for the Peloton bike! ***If you could be anything (outside from your current field) what would it be?*** I always thought I would grow up to be a veterinarian because I have always loved animals so much. ***What’s important to know about you?*** I need coffee immediately upon opening my eyes in the morning.
