yesi
Yesi received her Ed.M in Human Development and Psychology with a concentration in Child Advocacy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2019. Before joining the Stress and Development Lab, she served as a research coordinator at the Gabrieli Lab at MIT, working on projects exploring how children’s SES and home and school environments influence their academic achievement by studying the function and structure of the brain through MEG and MRI. Yesi is passionate about working with young children and their families (especially birth-5) and previously served as a Child Development Specialist at UCLA. Through her experiences in the classroom and in the lab, she became interested in learning more about how cultural practices and socio-economic standing influence the development and mental wellbeing of young children. Overall, Yesi hopes to engage in research aimed at improving practices, programs, and policies that impact children and families.
