Katie McLaughlin, Lab Director, and Leah Somerville, Director of the Affective Neuroscience and Development Lab collaborate on research examining the evolution of emotional differentiation. Their findings suggest that adolescents do not distinguish between negative emotions as clearly as younger children and adults. You can read more about their collaboration in the Harvard Gazette. The National Science Foundation has also published a story on their findings, which can be found here.
