Azure Reid-Russell is a first year Ph.D. student in the Clinical Science program at Harvard University. She graduated from Bates College in 2017, with a BS in psychology and minors in chemistry and theater. Her past research experiences at Zucker Hillside Psychiatric Hospital, Bates College, and in the Stress and Development Lab at the University of Washington and Harvard University have fostered her interests in mechanisms underlying developmental periods of vulnerability to self-injurious thoughts and behaviors. She is especially interested in understanding how physiology, embodied cognition, and emotion may change during adolescence to confer risk for self-injurious thoughts and behaviors.
