Lex graduated from the Tufts University School Psychology program (MA/Ed.S) in 2015 and worked in several Boston area schools providing intervention to students in general and special education. Drawing on their previous research experience, Lex joined the Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development at Tufts University where they worked on developing a social-emotional intervention to be implemented alongside the ethics-based, educational game Quandary. Lex’s passion for social and emotional learning (SEL) in research and practice led them to join the Ecological Approaches to Social and Emotional Learning Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. They worked on several projects including a study examining the actual practices of SEL in schools across the nation. Lex aims to aid in the understanding, research, and implementation of effective interventions in the domain of childrens’ social and emotional wellbeing.
