Dr. Natalie Colich
Natalie Colich earned her B.A. in Psychology from Stanford University in 2009 and her Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2017. Her graduate work focused on adolescent neurodevelopment and the onset and maintenance of depression in adolescence. More specifically, she is interested in understanding fine-grained changes in neural function and structure as a result of increases in gonadal hormones across pubertal development and how puberty-related changes in corticolimbic circuitry may place adolescent females at heightened risk to develop depression. She is currently exploring how exposure to different dimensions of childhood adversity influence pubertal timing, how childhood adversity and pubertal timing impact adolescent brain development, and how these factors might interact to contribute to risk for psychopathology in adolescence.
