Nana Okada
Nana Okada is an MD-PhD student at Harvard and MIT (entering class of 2021). Her interests lie in understanding how early experiences and environments sculpt neurodevelopment and shape psychological growth, in identifying early risk markers for psychopathology (using scalable tools), and in reconceptualizing traditional DSM categories of psychiatric disease. She feels motivated by this line of work because of its hopeful contributions to achieving health equity in psychiatric care. She received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018, where she worked with Dr. Linda Wilbrecht, and then spent 2.5 years at the Center for Autism Research and Treatment at UCLA with Drs. Mirella Dapretto, Shafali Jeste and Shula Green.
